Overview
Aluminium casement windows are the right route when the house needs a sharper frame line than a standard uPVC replacement can usually give. They suit Romford and Essex extensions, remodelled rear elevations, larger openings, and homes already using aluminium bi-fold doors, sliding patio doors, roof lanterns, or darker trims. Cii surveys, supplies, and fits the full package, checking reveal depth, opener layout, colour, glass, trickle vents, and security specification before issuing a fixed written quote.
Secured by Design and PAS 24 options available for higher-security specifications
Class 4 air permeability and 9A water tightness on the tested platform
Internally or externally beaded configurations depending on design requirement
Green Guide A rated aluminium system with slim contemporary sightlines
Single and dual-colour powder coating across the RAL range

Frame colour: Pure White
Standard colours
Dual colour may be available, with different interior and exterior frame finishes depending on the range.
Aluminium hardware finish
Aluminium casements are usually chosen for slim sightlines, so handle and hinge finishes should stay clean, coordinated, and appropriate to the powder-coated frame colour.

Made to measure. We confirm the colour, glazing, handle finish, and opening layout during your survey.

Design Choices
Compare style routes and opening/security setups for aluminium casement projects. Final specification is confirmed during survey.
Standard, flush, and heritage all sit on the aluminium casement platform, so you can tune the final look without changing product family.

A clean all-round replacement style with balanced sightlines and broad suitability across contemporary and mixed-style properties.

The sash sits level with the frame face for a tighter, premium finish where detailing matters more than a standard projected sash.

A slimmer route intended to replicate traditional steel-style window proportions with sharper vertical lines and lighter frame presence.
Mix vent formats around the house while keeping a consistent frame family, then choose security and glazing packages to suit each elevation.

Top-hung, side-hung, tilt-before-turn, fixed lights, bays, and coupled frames can all be specified from the same system.

Specify PAS 24 and Secured by Design packages with robust locking hardware for projects where tested security is a key requirement.

Glazing build-ups from 24mm to 40mm allow thermal, acoustic, and solar-control priorities to be tuned by room orientation and use.
Product fit
Aluminium casements are normally specified when slimmer sightlines, powder-coated colour, and a cleaner architectural finish matter more than the lowest-cost replacement route. They suit extensions, larger openings, and homes where standard white uPVC would look too heavy against aluminium doors, roof lanterns, dark trims, or modern render.

Optional Upgrade
Aluminium casements are chosen for sharper sightlines and a more modern finish. Integral blinds support that look by keeping privacy and glare control inside the glazed unit rather than adding bulky dressings around the frame.

A neat option where slim frames, powder-coated colour, and clean reveals are part of the brief.
Magnetic integral blinds
A slim magnetic slider raises, lowers, and tilts the blind inside the sealed glass unit.
Electric integral blinds
Remote operation suits larger panes, harder-to-reach glass, and cleaner contemporary rooms.
We check the glass unit depth, sash size, colour route, and whether magnetic or electric operation is proportionate for the opening.

Best For
Modern extensions and sharper rear elevations around Romford and Essex
Larger openings where a slimmer frame line is worth the extra specification
Homes matching aluminium bi-folds, sliding doors, roof lanterns, or dark trims
Thermally broken aluminium framing with polyamide thermal breaks and glazing options from 24mm to 40mm keeps this range strong on performance as well as appearance. Whole-window U-values can reach 1.4 W/m²K, dropping to 1.2 W/m²K with triple glazing, making these windows a strong fit for modern refurbishments and extension work.
This aluminium casement range can be specified to Secured by Design and PAS 24 standards, with robust locking hardware and rigid aluminium sections that remain controlled even on larger vents. That matters when you want slim sightlines without compromising day-to-day security or weather performance.
Aluminium opens up a much broader powder-coated finish range than a standard replacement window. Popular choices such as anthracite grey, black, and white remain available, but the real flexibility comes from bespoke RAL colours and dual-colour inside/outside combinations. Profile styling can also be tuned between flat contemporary, chamfered, or ovolo detailing depending on whether the project is modern or more traditional.
All aluminium casement installations are covered by Cii's 10-year installation guarantee and signed off on completion with Assure certification where applicable.
System Benefits
After the design specification is set, these are the technical and delivery strengths that matter most in day-to-day use.

The tested aluminium system targets Class 4 air permeability and 9A water tightness to support reliable weather performance on exposed elevations.

Polyamide thermal break technology and deeper glazing build-ups help deliver strong thermal outcomes while retaining slimline aluminium proportions.

Factory-applied powder coating is designed for long-term colour stability with low ongoing maintenance compared with painted timber systems.

Specification, fitting, and sign-off are handled by Cii so build quality is controlled from first measure to final handover.
How It Works
Step 1
We measure every opening and check the lintel, sill, and reveal, then plan the slim aluminium sightline against the elevation as a whole and anything aluminium already on the property: bi-folds, sliding doors, roof lanterns, or dark trims. We agree single or dual-colour powder coating, the opener layout, which rooms need a fire-escape egress sash, where trickle vents are required, whether a standard, flush, or steel-look profile suits each opening, and the security specification before quoting.
Step 2
Each casement is built to the measured size on the thermally broken 58BW aluminium platform, with the chosen profile route, 24mm to 40mm double or triple glazing, the powder-coat RAL finish inside and out, and the multi-point locking and weather seals (PAS 24 or Secured by Design where specified) all locked together before manufacture.
Step 3
Our Cii team fits and seals each frame, adjusts every opener and the locking so it runs cleanly on the slimmer aluminium sections, fits trickle vents where Building Regulations require them, and hands over with the Cii 10-year installation guarantee and Assure certification.
