Threshold heights
Measured from the finished floor outside to the top of the threshold. Each system has set heights; there are no custom ones.

A low threshold needs a drainage tray or a step down outside. Decide it before the floor or patio goes down, not after.
Panels and opening
Bi-folds come in 2 to 6 panels, each up to about 1,100mm wide and 2,100mm high. Any split is possible: fold left, fold right, or split both ways. They open out as standard and open in on request. The main door is the one you walk through day to day without folding the rest.
Sliders come as 2 panels with the left or right one moving, 3 panels, or 4 panels opening from the centre.
Send the glass spec with the sizes. Heavier glass needs stronger hinges and rollers, so we check the glass before confirming panel widths.
Colours
White, Anthracite Grey and Black are the usual three. Aluminium comes in any RAL colour, matt or gloss. uPVC takes the Liniar foils on the windows page.

Two-tone
Aluminium can be one colour outside and another inside. A dark outside with a white inside is the most common. uPVC comes as colour outside on a white inside, or colour both sides.

Blinds inside the glass
28mm double glazed and toughened glass as standard, with triple, laminated, acoustic and solar control glass on request. An integral blind can sit inside each panel's glass unit. Tap a colour to change the slats.
White slats
Magnetic
A magnet on the edge of the unit raises, lowers and tilts the slats. Nine stock slat colours, or any RAL colour.
Electric
Rechargeable motor and remote control, no wiring to run. A similar range of slat colours, or any RAL colour.
One blind covers glass up to 1500 x 1700mm, or 1200 x 3000mm. Bigger glass takes two blinds side by side in the same unit. Under 300mm high, the slats tilt but do not lift.
Handles, locks and wheels
Fitted on new doors, and stocked at the counter for repairs on doors already in.
Bi-fold hardware set
Hinges, carriers, shootbolts and the handle on the main door, finished to match the frame.
Patio door wheels
Tandem wheels, sold in pairs. Bring the old wheel to match the housing.

Width and height of the opening, aluminium or uPVC, number of panels, which way they fold seen from outside, which panel is the main door, open in or out, threshold, colour inside and out, glass, blinds, cill.

Panel sizes, main door, track count, glass weight and the threshold detail, in writing.

Order and lead time
Aluminium and uPVC carry different lead times, stated on the quote and held.

Collect or deliver
Collect from Danes Road, Romford, Mon to Thu 8am to 4pm and Fri 8am to 3pm, with job-waste drop-off included. Local delivery is available subject to order value and location.
